Digital generation of single tone FM/PM test stimuli: a theoretical analysis
Abstract
This paper presents a theoretical analysis for the generation of single-tone FM/PM test stimuli using a standard digital Automated Test Equipment (ATE). The technique relies on the generation of a modulated digital signal and the isolation of one of its harmonic replicas. The analysis conducted in this paper permits the appropriate setting of the digital signal parameters as well as the selection of favorable ATE sampling conditions.
