Ontology-Mediated Query Answering: Harnessing Knowledge to Get More From Data
Abstract
Ontology-mediated query answering (OMQA) is a new paradigm in data management that seeks to exploit the semantic knowledge expressed in on-tologies to improve query answering over data. This paper briefly introduces OMQA and gives an overview of two recent lines of research.
