A Biologically-Plausible Approach for Mobile Robots Path Planning: The Virtual Lightning Approach

Abstract : This paper deals with the path planning problem of mobile robots involving in partially known or unknown environments. We describe a biologically-plausible approach of this problem based on the definition of virtual top view images, obtained by the transformation of real frontal images (visual images or proximetric images).
