Operators allocation in the silicon compiler SCOOP
Abstract
This paper presents the method developed in the architecture compiler SCOOP: how to determine the number and the kind of ALUs to be inserted into the data paths of a circuit under design. The method consists, at first, in extracting, from the behavioral description of the circuit, the operators which can be implemented into the same ALU, and then, to choose those ALUs with reference to a library. The result is under the control of the user.
